About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at ARC Group. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial and technical aspects of our construction projects are managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain technical drawings and specifications
  • Control and manage all expenditure related to construction projects
  • Reconcile cost/value reports and profit forecasts to ensure accurate financial assessments
  • Ensure value for money and financial assessments are conducted regularly
  • Manage day-to-day cost control and monitoring, reporting on project progress and financial performance
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in the residential new build and social housing sector
  • Knowledge of reactive and planned maintenance, including subcontractor procurement and cost management
  • Experience with Schedule of Rates, subcontractor management, valuations, and building regulations
  • Thorough understanding of Health & Safety legislation and compliance
  • Minimum of 5 years' Quantity Surveying experience, with a BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying an advantage
Requirements
  • Proven commercial professional with experience in social housing reactive maintenance and repairs
  • Experience of SOR codes and the CVR process
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and contractual awareness
  • Negotiating, communication, and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
