About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Library and Information Services Coordinator. As part of our Library and Information Service, you will be responsible for providing an efficient, responsive, and courteous service to our users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to users of the service, responding to their queries and needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with the delivery of library and information services, including the maintenance of library collections and the provision of information resources.
  • Participate in events and activities, such as reading groups, storytelling sessions, and IT training sessions, to engage with our community and promote the library service.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve service goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of library and information services, staying up-to-date with best practices and new developments in the field.

Requirements

  • 2 Highers or equivalent, including English or SVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in a library or information environment, with good communication, organisational, and IT skills.
  • A demonstrated enthusiasm and interest in books and libraries, with an ability to work with people and deal with stressful situations.
