Service Technician Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at JLB Recruitment Ltd. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining our customers' security systems, including intruder alarms, fire alarms, entryphone/access control, and CCTV.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Service and maintain customers' security systems on a daily basis
* Respond to emergency callouts as required
* Work collaboratively with other engineers on the on-call rota
* Utilize a company-provided vehicle and fuel card for work-related purposes
* Enjoy 22 days of holiday leave plus Bank Holidays
* Participate in the company's Pension scheme
* Receive a company-provided laptop and mobile phone (optional)
* Wear company-provided uniform

**Daily Tasks:**

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining our customers' security systems on a daily basis. This will involve responding to pre-booked calls, planning routes, and attending to sites as directed from the engineering office. You will also be required to deal with emergency callouts as and when required.

**On-Call Duty:**

As part of the job, you will be required to participate in the on-call rota with other engineers. This may involve receiving calls at any time and responding to site or resolving issues over the phone.

**Working Hours:**

Flexibility in working hours is essential, as you may be required to work late or extra hours to complete tasks or respond to emergency callouts. However, you may also have the opportunity to finish early on some days.

**Requirements:**

* Strong knowledge of intruder alarms and preferably fire alarms, entryphone/access control, and CCTV
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
