Job Summary:
Gregory Distribution Careers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Day Driver to join our team. As a Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for loading and unloading refrigerated vehicles, interacting with customers, and maintaining regular communication with the transport team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading refrigerated vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Providing excellent customer service through face-to-face and phone interactions.
- Maintaining regular contact with the transport team to ensure timely updates and manage customer expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence.
- Be in possession of a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Have experience with refrigerated trailers, although training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
- Be able to work effectively under deadlines.
- Exhibit confidence, politeness, and a team-oriented approach.
- Have good geographical knowledge.
- Be physically fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from £33,218pa to £37,964pa, with potential for more based on hours worked.
- 4on 4off rota with start times around 06:00-08:00.
- Free DCPC training during employment.
