About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at HMP Winchester, a category B adult male local prison. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for carrying out various woodworking tasks and maintaining the prison’s facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out carpentry work, including repairs and maintenance of furniture and fixtures
  • Assist in the maintenance of the prison’s buildings and facilities
  • Work closely with other tradespeople to ensure smooth operation of the prison’s facilities

Requirements:

  • Experience in carpentry and woodworking
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
