About the Role

This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of Westminster and Government procedures, as well as excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and Implement Policy Strategy

Develop and oversee the implementation of an effective policy and public affairs strategy to achieve the influencing goals of Centrepoint's organisational strategy.

Research and Policy Events

Oversee the production of robust research and the delivery of policy events that inform business decisions and drive policy change.

Stakeholder Engagement

Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including politicians and civil servants, to build effective partnerships and influence policy decisions.

Representation and Communication

Represent the charity at a senior level in the policy environment and act as a spokesperson, communicating effectively with the media and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  1. Policy Expertise

Extensive knowledge of Westminster and Government procedures, with the ability to interpret and analyse public policy and parliamentary processes.

Stakeholder Management

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels, including politicians, civil servants, and other stakeholders.

Leadership and Coaching

Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead and coach others to succeed and set clear expectations.
