We are seeking a passionate Sushi Chef to become a vital member of our culinary team at The Retreat, Elcot Park.

Following a comprehensive renovation, The Retreat now boasts uniquely designed accommodations, two innovative dining concepts, and a top-tier spa facility, along with a variety of experiences for our guests.

In this position, you will oversee Yu, our Pan-Asian themed restaurant, and contribute to providing our guests with an authentic dining journey. You will play a key role in delivering a menu that reflects both traditional favorites and exciting new creations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining optimal conditions for all stock.
  • Ensuring all mise en place is freshly prepared and timely.
  • Preparing dishes according to the correct recipes and quantities.
  • Presenting all dishes correctly garnished and served on the appropriate dishes.
  • Keeping your section clean and organized at all times.
  • Providing proper training and guidance to junior cooks and trainees.
  • Communicating any anticipated shortages to the Sous Chef or Head Chef promptly.
  • Participating in training courses and seminars as required.
  • Striving to enhance your management knowledge for future advancement.
  • Adhering strictly to all company regulations regarding Hygiene, Health, and Safety.
