About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our Whole Boat Systems Integration team at BAE Systems Submarines. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for capturing and agreeing technical requirements, delivering compliant technical solutions, and providing specialist technical input to projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture and agree technical requirements in accordance with company and programme processes.
  • Deliver compliant technical solutions against contractual requirements and regulations.
  • Provide specialist technical input, review and support into projects beyond immediate scope.
  • Leverage systems experience and knowledge in both the tactical and strategic development of other engineers and relevant members of other supporting functions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a STEM subject.
  • Experience and knowledge in Requirements and Integration Verification and Validation (IVV) of products.
  • Experience in carrying out test facilitation.
  • Handling of defects in test reports.
  • Authoring of test specifications.
  • Attained or progressing towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
  • Previous exposure of working with Submarines.
