Job Title: Boatmaster

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Boatmaster to join our team at City Cruises UK. As a Boatmaster, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels, providing exceptional customer service, and promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure vessel safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement safety management systems to minimize risk and ensure passenger safety
  • Manage vessel operations, including navigation, crew management, and maintenance
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive passenger experience
  • Collaborate with the crew to ensure smooth vessel operations and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and maintenance checks to ensure vessel compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement training programs for crew members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Monitor and report on vessel performance, including fuel efficiency and passenger satisfaction
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Valid Boatmaster Licence for the area of operation
  • Current ML5 medical certificate or equivalent
  • Experience operating as a Boatmaster on large passenger vessels
  • Knowledge of vessel maintenance and engineering
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Full understanding of Health & Safety aboard and ashore and implementation of a Safety Management System
  • Experience working within the hospitality industry
  • Experience of managing a team
