Job Title: Chief Technology Officer

Thermulon is a pioneering chemical process engineering company dedicated to developing and scaling innovative chemical processes to produce high-performance, fire-safe insulation materials, aerogels. We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer to lead our technology strategy, ensuring alignment with our overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technology Strategy: Develop and execute the company's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide comprehensive technical oversight across all business areas, ensuring that processes, systems, and practices meet the highest standards.
  • Pilot Plant Design: Oversee the design and development of the pilot plant, ensuring it meets operational, safety, and scalability requirements.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Lead initiatives around embodied carbon, life-cycle analysis, and process sustainability, ensuring the company's commitment to environmental responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Advanced Degree: PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Leadership Experience: 10+ years of experience in process chemistry or a related industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strategic Leadership: Proven experience in technology strategy development and execution, preferably within a start-up or high-growth environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of process chemistry, pilot plant design, and scale-up processes.
