We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Electrical Consulting Engineer to join our team at First Recruitment Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in electrical engineering activities on various projects, from studies and design to troubleshooting, commissioning, and decommissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and organisational leadership to electrical engineering activities on various projects.
  • Act as lead engineer on Company projects, studies etc.
  • Undertake the competent engineering of electrical systems by specified procedures and plans.
  • Supervise the design team's activities to complete activities to the required technical standards and project schedule.
  • Undertake short-term visits to a wide range of operating sites and geographic regional offices worldwide.
  • Prepare man-hour estimates and planning activities for proposals and projects as required.
  • Be aware and evaluate the effect of new/modified legislation on plant design and performance.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience of technical and team leadership within a project environment working in the Oil and Gas Industry either as a Contractor or Oil Company Personnel.
  • Experience preferred in Upstream Engineering.
  • Technically competent in all aspects of electrical engineering (Power Generation, Distribution, Transmission).
  • Experience in Concept, Basic/FEED, and Detail Engineering projects for Oil&Gas (on-shore and/or off-shore).
  • Fully conversant with IEC standards and other International electrical standards, best practices and value practices.
  • Experience with Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) and all Microsoft Office applications.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree within the Electrical Engineering field or a BA in Science with a focus in Electrical Engineering.
