Key Responsibilities as a Deputy Care Manager
- Assist the Manager in efficiently and compassionately running the care home.
- Supervise staff and work in a direct care capacity on a day-to-day basis.
- Report directly to the Home Manager or their appointed representative regarding all performed duties.
- Assume managerial duties in the absence of the Manager, ensuring the care home operates to high standards and meets regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of appropriate training for staff.
- Have designated responsibility for the ordering, recording, administration, and disposal of the care home's medication system.
- Contribute to maintaining adequate staffing levels and the correct staff mix.
Essential Skills, Characteristics, and Experience
- Must hold at least an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Experience in dementia care.
