Mechanical Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at Mitie Facilities Management. As a key member of our Project team, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery, particularly around Mechanical and HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with client groups to develop, assess, and manage mechanically biased projects of varying size and complexity.
- Manage and coordinate all phases of the mechanical services project lifecycle, from pre-construction and planning to execution, testing, and commissioning.
- Attend site visits with contractors to review project scope of works, establish a pre-commencement survey, and manage the programme of works with the contractor to ensure quality delivery.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and milestones, minimizing the need for change management processes.
- Oversee the financial aspects of the project to ensure effective management throughout its duration, delivering value for money to the client and ensuring P&L for the business.
- Have a knowledge of energy and carbon efficiency best practice options within engineering to promote the best proposals for replacement or new assets to the client and work with the in-house ESG team to deliver for the client.
- Experience with CAD to update drawings for client sites, review, verify, and coordinate all construction drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility, prepare safety file documentation, and carry out FM handover and updating of asset registers on completion.
- Ensure that all works are executed in compliance with project specifications, best practice codes, regulations, and legislation while adhering to Mitie's LiveSafe safety standards.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues in the Project team to ensure adherence to all relevant standards and specifications associated with site activities.
- A degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in delivering projects to clients.
- PMI CAPM or PMP certified, QQI Project Manager, Prince 2 Practitioner, or other relevant certification.
- Excellent IT and technical skills are necessary.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
- Experience of applying QS estimating for ROC would be beneficial.
