About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, early-stage technology company as a Materials Scientist and Technology Developer. As a key member of the senior management team, you will be involved in maintaining the operational effectiveness of our clients' experimental facilities, preparing product samples for both potential customers and internal development projects, conducting analysis of product samples, and suggesting improvements to the operation of the company facilities.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a highly motivated and passionate individual with good knowledge of materials science. The ideal candidate would have experience in preparation and analysis of materials, ideally in a commercial setting. You will also need to have a Master's degree in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related subject, and experience working in an industrial manufacturing or laboratory environment.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Maintain the operational effectiveness of our clients' experimental facilities
  2. Prepare product samples for both potential customers and internal development projects
  3. Conduct analysis of product samples and prepare reports
  4. Suggest improvements to the operation of the company facilities
  5. Support and contribute to the ongoing development of our clients' technology

Requirements:

  1. Master's degree in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related subject
  2. Experience in preparation and analysis of materials, ideally in a commercial setting
  3. Experience working in an industrial manufacturing or laboratory environment
  4. Good presentation and communication skills
