We are seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Instructor to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our community care team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals regain their confidence and independence following a change in their abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement rehabilitation programs for individual patients and groups, working closely with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist and conduct exercise and rehabilitation classes, both on-site and off-site, independently and with assistance from physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants.
- Provide physical assistance and guidance to patients as needed, helping them to complete exercise or rehabilitation programs.
- Advise rehabilitation carers on the delivery of exercise programs and progressions following reassessment.
- Full and valid driving license.
- Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification.
- Level 3 or 4 Personal Training Diploma or equivalent.
- First Aid qualification.
- Member of the Register of Exercise Professionals.
- Appropriate liability insurance.
- Otego qualification or equipment ordering and assessment training.
- Proven delivery of community balance and falls prevention classes.
- Background in anatomy, biology, exercise physiology, and sports biomechanics.
- Broad range of other qualifications, including Exercise to Music, Circuit Training, Resistance equipment and free weights, Obesity and Diabetes Management.
- Foundation degree in Health and Social Care.
- Proven teaching experience.
- Evidence of group and individual exercise instruction.
- Experience working with complex patients in a community or home setting.
- Keen interest in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation, or healthcare provision.
