CNC Grinding Machinist

Overview

We are looking for a talented CNC Setter/Operator to become part of our team at Kingdom People.

In this role, you will be tasked with the operation of computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to produce parts and components that meet precise specifications.

Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to execute tasks with accuracy will be essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fluting and grinding of mill cylinders
  • Sieve recovery processes
  • Conducting minor repairs
  • Performing occasional upgrades and overhauls
Main Duties

  • Operate CNC and PLC machines for the fluting and grinding of mill cylinders
  • Utilize manual presses and lathes
  • Conduct quality control and inspections with high precision using tools such as micrometers
  • Manually disassemble and reassemble roll packs and provide bearing fitting services
  • Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and stored using MS Office tools
Experience Required

  • Essential previous experience in a machine workshop
  • Familiarity with manual lathes and cylindrical grinding is preferred
Skills Needed

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Comprehensive knowledge of machine tools
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Proficient in CNC machine setup and operation
  • Competence in using measuring instruments
  • Experience with fluting and grinding machines is a distinct advantage
Working Hours & Salary

  • Monday to Thursday - 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Friday - 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM
* 37.5 hours per week

* Salary range: £29,000 - £31,000 per annum
