About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner to join our team at Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a vital role in supporting our business leaders and HR team in various HR functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic HR Support: Analyze internal evidence and data to identify 'people' priorities for the business and hold informative discussions with managers.
  • People Expertise: Bring people expertise and develop solutions to help the business areas deliver the strategy.
  • Project Management: Support the design, development, and delivery of strategic projects and change management initiatives.
  • Employee Relations: Resolve high-level employee issues, including grievances, appeals, ET claims, and complex disciplinary issues.
  • Policy Implementation: Implementing policies and managing processes, such as redundancies, restructures, and succession planning. TUPE transfers, and more.
  • HR Development: Coach and develop HR colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and coordinate with key stakeholders on data collection and policy implementation.
  • Legislative Compliance: Keep up to date with employment law and changes within legislation and implement them into the business.
  • Training and Development: Deliver training sessions across the business that support the business strategy, including DEI, performance management, and more.
  • Leadership and Development: You will have direct reports, therefore you will be responsible for ensuring their objectives are aligned with the business along with their individual development.
About You

We are seeking an individual with a strong ethical and people-centric approach to HR, along with the following qualifications:

  • CIPD Qualification
  • Previous HR Experience: Previous experience in an HR Advisor/HRBP role with a solid understanding of people management issues.
  • Employment Law Knowledge: Proficient knowledge of employment law and a commitment to continuous HR learning and development.
  • Communication Skills: Proactive interaction skills with the ability to engage with managers and employees at all levels to resolve HR issues.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the capability to manage conflicting demands and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Leadership and Judgment: Strong judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and creative approach.
  • Leadership and Relationship Building: Leadership capabilities and the ability to build strong relationships across the organization.
  • Communication and Engagement: Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels of the workplace.
