Reed Specialist Recruitment is partnering with an established and reputable organisation in Belfast City Centre to appoint an experienced, part-qualified accountant to join their team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced accountant to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial management, including budget management, centralised reporting of project financial information, and management of project cashflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to achieve organisational goals.
    • Manage and analyse financial data to inform business decisions.
    • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Project Financial Management:
    • Manage project cashflows and ensure timely payment of invoices.
    • Prepare and submit project financial reports to stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with non-financial departments to provide financial support and analysis.
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Professional Development:
    • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
    • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
    • Contribute to the development of organisational policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified accountant with a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, CAI, ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA).
  • Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting and cashflow management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
