Part-time position: 28 hours per week, with a flexible schedule across four days.
A weekend enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be provided for shifts worked between 7am and 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Birnbeck House accommodates 13 adults with learning disabilities.
Role Overview
As the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will ensure the effective upkeep of the premises and surrounding areas.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing designated support staff and ensuring that the safety of the facility and all equipment is maintained through regular inspections and servicing. Tasks such as painting, repairing, replacing, and cleaning will be part of your daily duties to keep the environment in excellent condition.
You will also manage vehicle safety and coordinate repairs with external contractors as needed.
Key Qualifications for Success:
- Demonstrated experience in a relevant trade (e.g., plumbing or carpentry) or a similar role.
- Knowledge of workplace safety principles.
- Ability to perform the physical tasks associated with the position.
- Prior supervisory experience is essential.
- A Level 3 or 4 qualification in a relevant trade is desirable.
- A valid driving license (if applicable).
- Flexibility to adapt to the service's needs.
