Our key advantage lies in our privately owned large fleet of 70 modern heavy goods vehicles, each able to carry up to 30 tonnes.
About the RoleWe are seeking to recruit permanent, full-time Class 1 Drivers to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established company in the construction industry.
As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for following all DVSA rules on road transport safety, which will be carried out via electronic systems. You will be provided with all training on all aspects of the job and supplied with all PPE required to carry out the role.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, within tachograph rules. Saturday morning overtime is regularly available during peak season, paid at an overtime rate.
The job type is permanent, full-time, with an immediate start available. The rate of pay is from £13.40 per hour, and the holiday entitlement is 29 days, including bank holidays.
The benefits include a company pension and on-site parking.
Key Responsibilities- Comply with all DVSA rules on safety.
- Maintain your truck in a safe condition by carrying out pre-use checks to manufacturers and Thomas Armstrong recommendations.
- Complete daily inspection sheets.
- Report problems and defects to the foreman.
- Compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
The successful candidate must hold a current LGV driving license class 1 and have a minimum of 1 year of experience driving a goods vehicle.
Driver CPC is statutory, and previous experience within a similar industry is preferred but not essential.
