Job Overview

This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in Lymphoedema management. Responsibilities include full management of Lymphoedema caseloads, overseeing service operations and staff development in collaboration with the service manager. Leading a small team of highly trained staff to deliver exceptional Lymphoedema care in a community healthcare setting.

Successful candidates will receive additional training to enhance their expertise in Lymphoedema care and staff management supported by human resources.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Manage Lymphoedema caseloads and clinic provisions
  • Manage and train staff
  • Deliver evidence-based service
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other providers

Person SpecificationQualifications

Essential Criteria

  • Registered RGN with NMC
  • Diploma or BSc (Hons) in Community Health (DN)
  • Relevant post-registration study and CPD in Lymphoedema management
  • Physical Assessment Skills
  • Nurse Prescriber qualifications
  • Mentorship Preceptorship or equivalent
Knowledge

Essential Criteria

  • Proficient in professional standards and NMC guidelines
  • Knowledge of infection prevention and control
  • Understanding of risk assessment, health, and safety
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and Mental Capacity Act
  • Knowledge of oedema and lymphoedema management trends
Experience

  • Experience in assessing and managing lymphoedema patients
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Problem-solving and mentoring skills
