About the Role:
Ernest and Florent Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in North London. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including commercial fit-out projects, sports and leisure projects, life sciences projects, and residential projects.
- Support junior members of staff on site and in the office, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct site visits, monitor progress, and identify potential issues to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Prepare and submit reports, including progress reports, cost reports, and final accounts.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Requirements:
- BSc/MSc Quantity Surveying or RICS accredited degree.
- Ideally, experience working on commercial projects, with a strong understanding of construction cost management principles.
- MRICS or currently working towards MRICS accreditation.
- Experience within a private practice or consultancy, with a strong understanding of the construction industry.
- Strong pre- and post-contract knowledge, including contract administration and dispute resolution.
- Excellent attitude and team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
- Capable of supporting junior colleagues with mentoring and guidance.
