Job Title: Events Coordinator

Glen Callum Associates Ltd is seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to support the commercial vehicle division of a leading vehicle manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop event proposals, agendas, and presentation content with stakeholders' input and direction.
  • Plan event aspects, including venue, seating, dining, and guest lists.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of venues and vendor offerings to event attendees.
  • Coordinate event set up, rehearsals, drive events, presentation equipment, and logistics.
  • Monitor and report on event budget and actual spend, assisting with expenditure approval and management.
  • Manage and oversee events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, and directing event set-up.
  • Ensure correct specification event vehicles are ordered.
  • Work with the commercial vehicle product team, local NSC's, and markets to ensure event vehicles are scheduled, built, delivered, and prepared on time.
  • Help monitor event quality and convertor feedback/analysis to improve future offerings.

Requirements:

  • A knowledge of the automotive sector, including vehicle order to delivery processes, is advantageous.
  • Previous experience or qualifications in an events planning role.
  • Excellent written communication, organisational skills, and presentation skills are essential.
  • A confident manner and the ability to coordinate the organisation of events and manage large groups of people within an agreed agenda and structure.
  • A computer and technology competent self-starter, with good attention to detail, and a mindset to meet deadlines.
  • Microsoft skills, including good Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Mail, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Good communication and relationship building skills.
