Tax Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our team in Cambridge. As a key member of our tax technical and national network, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including family-owned businesses, private equity portfolio companies, and mid-cap and inbound companies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage senior stakeholder relationships, including Partners and Directors across the tax networks.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities, including market activation, to drive business growth.
- Build a diverse portfolio of client engagements, including large corporate businesses, private equity portfolio companies, and family offices.
- Lead projects and introduce relevant specialists as needed, with a focus on private business tax.
- Develop market-leading relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, collaborating across the firm to deliver complex projects.
- Stay up-to-date with technical developments, including changes in tax law and legislation, to advise clients and internal stakeholders on the latest tax technical issues.
- ACA and/or CTA (or international equivalent) qualification.
- Relevant and up-to-date UK tax knowledge, with experience of complex tax issues facing locally and internationally owned businesses and private equity portfolio companies.
- Proven experience in business development, including new and existing clients or gaps in the market to create profitable opportunities/value propositions for tax services.
- Previous project management experience.
- Senior stakeholder management, both internal and external.
- Efficient use of technology in managing client and contact relationships, pursuing opportunities, and overseeing the delivery of analysis and written deliverables.
- Previous experience of scaling efficiencies and continuous improvement/new ways of working across multiple projects and environments to dedicated timelines.
- Proven leadership experience.
