A prestigious opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Executive Chef to join a leading care home provider in the UK. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences for residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

This esteemed care home specializes in providing general and dementia nursing, residential, and respite care for the elderly. To be considered for this position, you must have a proven track record as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a similar setting.

As the Executive Chef, your primary duties will include:

  • Developing and implementing menus that cater to the diverse needs of residents, ensuring a high standard of culinary excellence.
  • Managing a team of kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation, menu planning, and maintaining compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Providing training and guidance to kitchen staff, promoting a culture of health and safety, and maintaining a pristine and well-organized kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A culinary degree or relevant certification.
  • Knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs, and food safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments within the care home.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to train and supervise kitchen staff.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
