About the Role
The Opportunity
GAP Group Limited is a leading provider of lifting equipment and services, with a strong presence in the UK market. We are seeking an experienced Senior Lifting Equipment Engineer to join our TIC team, responsible for managing and scheduling the Test, Inspection and Certification of lifting and working at height equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, function test, repair and maintain lifting and working at height equipment
- Conduct proof load testing of equipment such as runway beams, davit sockets, swing jibs and lift shaft eyes
- Perform basic installations and produce reports/certification for equipment
- Carry out site surveys and advise customers on the correct selection and use of lifting equipment
- Support the lifting depot network by maintaining the hire fleet, upskilling team members and providing customers with bespoke solutions
About You
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled individual with a strong background in the lifting equipment industry. Key requirements include:
- Significant experience working within the lifting equipment industry with excellent product knowledge
- Multiple LEEA qualifications, including advanced programs such as Runways & Crane Structures and/or Overhead Travelling Cranes
- Manufacturer and industry training (e.g. CSCS, IPAF, Confined Space, Working at Height, PASMA, etc)
- Competence in accordance with LOLER
- IT literacy
- Valid driving license
