Position Overview

Role Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Hydraulic Systems Technician to join our dynamic team. In this capacity, you will handle hydraulic sub-units designated for evaluation and refurbishment. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire process, from diagnosing faults in test failures to executing corrective measures. You will also be tasked with the assembly and final testing of overhauled units, including military landing gear systems.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Adhering to the production schedule, ensuring all hydraulic units and actuators are addressed.
  • Executing various work scopes as dictated by the production plan, including testing, repair, and overhaul.
  • Conducting tests on hydraulic units using specialized rigs to assess their serviceability.
  • Inspecting serviceable units for release back into operation.
  • Disassembling and inspecting failed test units to restore them to serviceable condition.
  • Classifying parts as serviceable, scrap, or in need of repair.
  • Performing minor rework tasks such as hand salvage, material blending, and polishing, while evaluating parts/components for repair.
  • Completing the full assembly and testing of hydraulic units in accordance with CMM and drawing maintenance data.
  • Exercising the authority to sign off and certify your own work for safe return to service, in compliance with all relevant documentation.
  • Demonstrating flexibility to engage in multiple technical disciplines as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in basic computer skills is essential.
  • Apprentice training, equivalent qualifications, or relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Experience in inspection and fitting of aircraft landing gears and components is preferred, though experience in other engineering sectors will also be evaluated.
  • Ability to utilize precision measuring and testing equipment effectively.
