About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Group Manager to join our Children in Care Team at Southampton City Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting social workers and family engagement workers to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in foster care, residential or semi-independent homes.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work, with experience of working with children and young people in care. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of social workers and family engagement workers, providing guidance and support to ensure that children and young people receive the best possible care and support.

You will work closely with our Pathways Through Care Team to ensure that children and young people receive a seamless service, from foster care to independence. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that our service is of the highest quality.
