Job Description

Role Overview

Merz Aesthetics UK and Ireland is seeking a highly skilled Scientific Advisor to provide internal and external scientific services. This role is critical in ensuring the company's customers and patients' needs are met and establishing Merz as a trusted partner of choice.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support Healthcare Professionals: Collaborate with HCPs to facilitate best outcomes for patients using Merz products.
  • Therapy Insights: Provide therapy insights for materials and activities to drive strategic business growth.
  • Execute Ax Medical Strategy: Execute the Ax Medical strategy to achieve business objectives.
  • Medical Resources: Lead the development of medical resources and activities ensuring they are fair, balanced, and compliant.
  • Governance and Compliance: Lead on governance and compliance to ensure Merz practices high standards within all areas of the business.
  • Research and Development: Support the Merz research program and life cycle management to identify unmet needs and build evidence and understanding for existing and potential therapeutic indications.

Key Working Relationships

  • Ax Medical Affairs Colleagues: Collaborate with Ax medical affairs colleagues to work as a team and deliver the Ax medical plan.
  • Ax Commercial Colleagues: Ensure alignment with Ax commercial colleagues in marketing and sales to ensure content and compliance.
  • Given Therapy Area KOLs: Act as partners with given therapy area KOLs to deliver projects and achieve better outcomes for patients.
  • Global Ax Colleagues: Align with global Ax colleagues on research and global medical projects.

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Graduate with Life-Science Qualification: Possess a graduate degree with a life-science qualification.
  • Pharmaceutical Industry Experience: Have experience in the pharmaceutical industry and copy approval.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven project management skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical skills with the ability to understand and simplify complex medical messages.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate with impact.

Desirable:

  • Registered Pharmacist/Physician: Registered pharmacist or physician with medical final signatory status.
  • PMCPA and Medical Governance: Strong understanding of PMCPA and medical governance.
  • Medical Education Programmes: Proven track record in developing and delivering medical education programmes.
  • Clinical Trials Experience: Experience with clinical trials, Good Clinical Practice, and/or managing CROs and/or local clinical trial sites.
