About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Caretaker to join our team at GSL Education - Chelmsford. As a key member of our school support staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the school building and grounds are well-maintained and secure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out minor repairs and maintenance as needed to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Assist with setting up and packing away for school events and activities.
  • Report any major maintenance or security concerns to the relevant authorities.
  • Be flexible and proactive in handling any unforeseen tasks that arise during the school day.
Requirements
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • The ability to satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
Working Hours

Monday - Friday, 11:30 am - 7:30 pm.
