About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Hygiene Therapist to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary head and neck oncology team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive oral care and advice to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality oral care and treatment to patients, including those with head and neck oncology, prior to and after treatment.
  • Work closely with Consultants and their teams in Restorative Dentistry and Oral Surgery to provide comprehensive care.
  • Communicate effectively with referring practitioners and maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills pertinent to the field.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinics for the management of head and neck oncology patients.
  • Apply evidence-based care to enhance the quality of care given to patients.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to working within the team and foster positive relationships.
  • Promote prevention and oral health education, involving others including patients.
  • Deal with patient concerns and complaints effectively and sensitively.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Dental Hygiene.
  • Registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
  • Evidence of experience in specialized areas of Maxillofacial/Dental work.
