NexGen Consultancy LTD is seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our team in High Wycombe. As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs for complex 5-axis machining operations using Hypermill CAM software.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs using Hypermill CAM software for 5-axis Mikron milling machines.
- Generate efficient and accurate toolpaths to meet production requirements, ensuring high-quality surface finishes and dimensional accuracy.
- Machine Setup & Operation: Set up Mikron 5-axis CNC milling machines, including tool selection, fixture setup, and initial job run-offs.
- Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality control teams to ensure the successful production of complex parts.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to maintain uninterrupted production.
- Ensure all machined components meet stringent quality and tolerance specifications, conducting in-process inspections when necessary.
- Monitor the condition of machines and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC programming with Hypermill CAM software, specifically for 5-axis operations.
- Hands-on experience with Mikron or similar 5-axis CNC machines.
- Proficient in Hypermill CAM software for 5-axis programming.
- Strong knowledge of G-code and machine setup.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, tolerancing, and blueprint reading.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for CNC programming and machining issues.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work with tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
- Familiarity with Siemens or Heidenhain CNC controls.
- Knowledge of advanced machining techniques such as high-speed machining, 3+2 axis machining, and simultaneous 5-axis cutting.
