Grafton Recruitment is currently looking for dedicated Sanitation Specialists to join our esteemed Public Sector client in Rotherham. The role of a Sanitation Specialist is crucial, and we invite applications from motivated and diligent individuals.

The successful applicant will directly contribute to maintaining the unit's standards by ensuring that the environment remains clean, organized, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Uphold a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility.

The responsibilities include cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing various areas, such as patient zones, administrative offices, communal corridors, therapy rooms, and clinic spaces, including restrooms.

2. Thorough cleaning of toilets, sinks, showers, and wash hand basins.
3. Mopping floors and walls, along with other elevated surfaces.
4. Wet scrubbing and suctioning of hard floor surfaces.
5. Dusting all surfaces to maintain hygiene.
6. Proper disposal of clinical and non-clinical waste, including recycling efforts.
7. Replenishing supplies such as hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and hand sanitizers.
8. Taking responsibility for the care and storage of all cleaning equipment.

9. Ensure the department's environment meets cleanliness standards as per established policies and procedures to achieve enhanced environmental quality.

10. Identify and address additional cleaning needs as they arise.
11. Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols.
12. Maintain tidy stock rooms with easily accessible supplies.
13. Always uphold patient confidentiality.
Experience Required:

Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role is essential.

Familiarity with relevant operational, personnel, health, and safety policies and procedures, including Fire Safety, COSHH, and No Smoking regulations.

Attendance at mandatory training updates is required.
A full clean driving license is necessary.
