About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team at Binnies, a RSK Company. As a key member of our @One Alliance, you will provide technical direction to our electrical engineers and ensure that all designs meet current legislation and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering technical direction to the electrical discipline engineers.
  • Design support for schemes and ensure all designs are fit for purpose.
  • Check and review electrical design deliverables produced by other electrical engineers.
  • Coach and mentor junior and less experienced members of the electrical team.
  • Collaborate with Principal Engineer, Portfolio Design Managers, and Project Design Managers to acquire upcoming project milestones and design review dates.
  • Input into Construction Design management (CDM) and commissioning strategy meetings.
  • Manage quality through the design workflow review in line with the project timeline.
  • Support other leads and discipline engineers to deliver their engineering outputs to time and quality standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will have an engineering degree or equivalent, and preferably be Chartered or working towards Chartered status. Experience of water-sector assets and capital projects is essential. You will be comfortable demonstrating your knowledge of all relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice. Ideally, you will have experience of mentoring and coaching junior engineers.
