Position: Test Systems Engineer

Company Overview:
MillTech is collaborating with a dynamic organization in the automotive testing sector, recognized for its rapid growth driven by the increasing demand for ECU testing services.

Key Responsibilities:
Your role as a Test Systems Engineer will encompass the following tasks:
  • Collaborate closely with the Test Engineer to implement and maintain testing apparatus.
  • Develop and sustain in-house software and testing protocols.
Equipment Management:
  • Design, construct, troubleshoot, and commission testing equipment.
  • Work alongside the team to resolve equipment issues, minimizing downtime and enhancing First Time Through (FTT) rates.
  • Optimize machine cycle times and operational efficiency.
  • Generate and revise technical documentation and schematics.
  • Participate in the Global Research and Development team.
  • Travel to various sites across the UK, approximately 30% of the time, with occasional international travel.

Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates should possess:
  • A solid background in designing testing equipment for automotive projects, particularly in engine, transmission, or driveline.
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW/TestStand.
  • A comprehensive understanding of CAN networks, including CAN, LIN, and FlexRay.
  • Experience in writing or modifying testing software and automated testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with Python programming.
