About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Operations Engineer to join our team at Bet365. As an IT Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production IT service, which includes all customer-facing products and critical internal business systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Incident Management: Respond to, investigate, escalate, and resolve incidents and changes that affect the business in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Maintain vigilant monitoring of early warnings raised via the Network Operations Centre, ensuring that alerts are handled in accordance with agreed policies.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with senior managers and stakeholders when dealing with escalated issues, and provide prompt and accurate feedback on the impact of system, policy, or procedural changes.
  • Change Management: Log requests for change and incidents in the Remedy ticketing system, and coordinate planned maintenance work to ensure that work is proceeding according to the agreed schedule.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the first point of contact for the production IT service and associated infrastructure for internal departments and senior members of staff.
Requirements
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Have a working knowledge of computer networking and Cisco technologies, as well as experience working with and troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills: Possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to make and act on decisions when under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Have concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior managers and stakeholders.
