We are looking for a committed and skilled Specialist Teaching Assistant to become part of our dedicated team. This role involves supporting a pupil within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and is non-verbal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of tailored educational and behavioral plans.
  • Engage the pupil in various learning activities to enhance social interaction.
  • Provide necessary personal care support.
  • Work collaboratively with educators and other professionals to foster an inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Develop a nurturing relationship with the pupil to support their overall growth.

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Ability to modify teaching methods to cater to the pupil's unique needs.
  • Knowledge of inclusive educational practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate and patient demeanor when working with children with special educational needs.
  • Willingness to perform personal care tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Additional training or certifications related to special educational needs would be beneficial.
