Position Overview

In the role of Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will be instrumental in aiding the Head Chef with the management of kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and contributing to the development of innovative menu offerings. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation and presentation of dishes that align with the Head Chef's standards, refining existing menu items, supporting budgetary considerations, and enforcing kitchen policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare visually stunning dishes and desserts that create lasting impressions on guests.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to uphold the highest standards of food quality, flavor, and presentation.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflows and optimal resource utilization, while assisting in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering.
  • Comply with food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring the kitchen adheres to all health and safety regulations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, mentoring kitchen staff and providing necessary guidance and support.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated experience as an Assistant Kitchen Manager or in a comparable leadership position.
  • Strong culinary expertise and a passion for crafting exceptional dishes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities are crucial.
  • Attention to detail and creativity, with the capacity to meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
