The successful candidate will also act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students.
Main DutiesThe post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and the maintenance of high standards of quality patient care on a shift basis. They will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, performing a variety of tasks, including assessing patients, developing care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join the Cardiac Catheter Suite team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a highly skilled and experienced team, providing high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
Requirements- First-level registration as a Registered Nurse
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Knowledge of clinical governance and IT/Word Processing
- Evidence of good understanding of Cardiac anatomy and procedures undertaken in cath labs
- Ability to supervise and support junior staff
- Evidence of teaching and assessing skills/ability
- Previous recent Cath lab experience
