About the Role
The Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Pencoedtre High School. As a key member of our catering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining hall and the provision of high-quality meals to our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of the dining hall, including the preparation of food and equipment
- Provide excellent customer service to students and staff, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Work collaboratively with the catering team to achieve high standards of food quality and presentation
- Contribute to the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and dining areas
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures and guidelines
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and school holidays
