We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Casual Enablement Care Worker to join our team at Richmond and Wandsworth Councils.
Job SummaryAs a Casual Enablement Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting and supporting individuals to build their confidence and become more independent over a time-limited period.
Key Responsibilities- Support individuals in their daily activities to regain their independence, such as meal preparation, personal care, and managing their own medication.
- Collaborate with families, enablement officers, managers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe, effective, responsive, and caring service.
- Support individuals in developing personalized care plans to meet their specific goals.
- Deliver care in a way that demonstrates compassion, empathy, and respect for the personal dignity of individuals.
- Report signs of abuse, identified risks, and changes in health status to the appropriate health or social care professionals.
- NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards and attain this.
- Continual professional development by attending training.
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
- Ability to motivate people and help build their confidence.
- Awareness of and respect for people's diverse backgrounds and needs.
