Senior Housing Lawyer and Disrepair Team Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Housing Lawyer to lead our new Disrepair project team. As a Senior Housing Lawyer and Disrepair Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising Legal Assistants and handling a caseload of complex disrepair cases.

About the Role:

This is a full-time role for 36 hours a week, with office attendance required one day per week. You will be joining a welcoming and cooperative team, and you will be well supported by the Principal and Deputy Principal Lawyers in leading and building the new Disrepair team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise Legal Assistants and handle a caseload of complex disrepair cases.
  2. Lead the new Disrepair project team and contribute to the development of the team's strategy and objectives.
  3. Work closely with the Principal and Deputy Principal Lawyers to ensure the effective delivery of the Disrepair project.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities and other external partners.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have extensive housing disrepair experience and some prior experience of managing or supervising staff. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
