Hays Senior Finance is a leading provider of accounting services to businesses in the Stockport area. Our team of experienced accountants work closely with clients to deliver a range of accounting services, including accounts preparation, bookkeeping, and VAT returns.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounts preparation for a range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies with turnovers up to £3 million. You will act as a client manager and will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accounts for a range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Act as a client manager and be responsible for your own portfolio of clients
- Work closely with the rest of the accounts team to deliver a range of accounting services
- Provide training and support to junior staff
- Manage your own time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Requirements
- Previous experience handling accounts for a wide range of clients in a practice environment
- Strong IT and technical skills with experience in accounts software, specifically Xero
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary between £30,000 and £36,000 dependent on experience.
