Our client, a global manufacturing business, is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced international industrial business, with excellent progression opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:

As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:
  • Analyzing overhead data to identify trends, overspends, and cost gaps, and working with local management to improve data accuracy.
  • Developing monthly operational performance information to identify operational losses and opportunities for improvement.
  • Reviewing overhead spend versus budget and forecast, and approving or rejecting requisitions through the cost committee.
  • Consolidating overhead forecasts for review.
  • Providing weekly and monthly reporting of key financial data to the management team.
  • Identifying and developing working capital improvement opportunities.
  • Preparing audit packs, including internal and external audits, and discussing findings with relevant audit teams.
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and explaining the rationale behind each balance.
  • Preparing forecasts, business plans, and budgets, including profit and loss and balance sheet statements.
  • Standardizing and simplifying processes.

Requirements:

As the Management Accountant, you will be/have:
  • Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to analyze and interpret data.
  • Ability to manage most aspects of month-end close and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A positive and approachable demeanor.
