What does a Housing Support Specialist do?

Collaborating closely with the Prison and Probation Service, you will manage a caseload of clients within the community, offering guidance and assistance tailored to their housing requirements.

Your responsibilities may encompass helping clients to terminate or maintain tenancies, locate suitable housing, or provide basic financial management advice while coordinating with various agencies.

We seek individuals who demonstrate integrity, possess a proactive mindset, and have proficient ICT skills (including MS Office and specialized databases).

Our ideal candidate will have a background in the criminal justice field and familiarity with housing legislation; however, we value transferable skills and are committed to providing the necessary training and support for success in this role.

We encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, including individuals with criminal records and those who have experienced the criminal justice system firsthand.

As this role involves working with adults in a secure environment, it is subject to an Enhanced DBS check against the adult workforce and prison clearance.
