Job Title: FLT Driver / Production Operative

We are seeking a skilled FLT driver and production operative to join our team at Ristara Ltd in Suffolk. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating manual and CNC-based machinery to process customer orders to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a range of manual and CNC-based machinery for metal processing
  • Process steel to customers' requirements and tolerances, working within our quality system to ensure full traceability of customer orders
  • Read and interpret drawings, orders, and verbal instructions, with the ability to train others in this area
  • Operate forklifts, CombiLifts, and cranes safely and efficiently
  • Perform daily checks on equipment, crane, and forklift/CombiLift before starting each shift
  • Collate and prepare orders for loading, including banding, palletising, and bagging
  • Load and offload plate and parts from plasma and laser machines
  • Identify and locate different steel products using measuring equipment
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area, reporting any issues or concerns to management

Requirements:

  • Experience operating manual and CNC-based machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, orders, and verbal instructions
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
