Job Summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Room Leader to join our team at our Tonbridge Day Nursery and Preschool. As a key member of our nursery team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of early years professionals to deliver exceptional care and education to our children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of early years professionals to deliver high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
  • Develop and implement engaging learning programs that meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Ensure the nursery environment is safe, healthy, and stimulating, with a focus on promoting children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and inclusive nursery culture, promoting a sense of community and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and policies, including safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Previous experience working in an early years setting, ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, or Early Years Educator.
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and relevant legislation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the nursery and its children.
