About the Role

VIA is seeking a dynamic and passionate Recovery Practitioner to contribute to the success of our integrated community substance misuse and wellbeing service in Greenwich.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the local community to provide motivational interviewing and brief advice and intervention to individuals experiencing substance misuse difficulties or who are vulnerable.
  • Identify and target known hot spots, including partnership working and joint operations as required.
  • Support the collection and gathering of information from a range of sources, including street drinkers, partner agencies, and residents.
  • Support individuals into mainstream services and work with local providers to enhance provision for this hard-to-engage population.
  • Carry a caseload and conduct thorough assessments of need, ensuring the safeguarding of service users, their families, and the wider community.
  • Plan and deliver effective treatment interventions to those who use our services.
  • Deliver face-to-face and group work using evidence-based interventions.

Location
