About the Role

The Nigel Wright Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Team Lead to join their team in the Food Industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Team Leader to take on a challenging role and contribute to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure equipment is set up and ready for production, with a focus on maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor and review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive delivery and cost savings.
  • Develop and implement consistent reporting procedures for all maintenance activities, including breakdown repairs.
  • Target the completion of 100% of Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks, using proactive planning to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure a strong understanding of health and safety regulations, as well as food hygiene guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement initiatives that reduce waste and improve overall efficiency.
  • Provide engineering support for PLCs, HMI Scada controlled systems, and other production equipment.
  • Work closely with Shift Managers, Product Leads, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth production process.

Requirements

  • Completed Apprenticeship with a NVQ L3 or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Experience in the FMCG industry is highly desirable.
