GEMINI RECRUITMENT SERVICES LTD is seeking a dedicated and experienced Paralegal to join their Claims Against Public Authorities and Inquests department.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct supervised casework and support other lawyers in the department.
- Conduct legal research, take proofs of evidence from clients and witnesses, and attend court hearings and conferences.
- Support the team in case preparation and ensure Quality Control compliance.
- Assist in dealing with complaints received on cases and participate in marketing events to ensure the continuous growth of the Department.
- Drafting of legal documents, liaising with clients, and advocacy skills.
- A strong academic record and demonstrable experience relevant to this role; legal aid experience is essential.
- Experience in Legal Aid and Litigation is essential (Ideally within Inquests/CAPA).
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with the Legal Aid Agency's online CCMS system would be an advantage.
- Legal skills and knowledge, Negotiation skills, and Analytical skills.
